Summary from Goodreads:
A young adult fiction anthology of 15 stories featuring contemporary, historical, and futuristic stories featuring witchy heroines who are diverse in race, class, sexuality, religion, geography, and era.
Review:
I don't read many anthologies but I decided to pick this up despite the mixed reviews.
I pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. I found more than a few good stories and new authors from this collection.
I liked how the stories were not too gruesome or were heavy with magic. Instead the stories focused more on the characters than the magical elements. They all deal with intense and important topics and it felt like almost every story could be turned into a full length novel.
