Review: Dreams of Gods & Monsters (Daughter of Smoke & Bone #3) by Laini Taylor
Summary from Goodreads:
In this thrilling conclusion to the Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy, Karou is still not ready to forgive Akiva for killing the only family she's ever known.
When a brutal angel army trespasses into the human world, Karou and Akiva must ally their enemy armies against the threat--and against larger dangers that loom on the horizon. They begin to hope that it might forge a way forward for their people. And, perhaps, for themselves--maybe even toward love.
From the streets of Rome to the caves of the Kirin and beyond, humans, chimaera, and seraphim will fight, strive, love, and die in an epic theater that transcends good and evil, right and wrong, friend and enemy.
I had a horrible reading week, however, this beauty made up for all of the other subpar novels I read!
I've put off reading the conclusion of The Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy because I did not want to see it end.
I was back again in the amazing world Taylor has created, with a focus on Eretz and Earth, and most of all I had my favorite characters. I once again loved Karou but also the various side characters, especially in this one, Liraz.
I enjoyed the multiple POVS, even the new one, and it had such a well formed and beautiful ending that really rounded off the series perfectly.
I did not have any tears (which is a good thing) but I did smile a whole lot and squeal when good things or couples happened in the novel.
I'm so excited to read her new novel coming up but I just hate to see this one end, I want so much more of it and her beautiful writing!
I recommend checking out this amazing series.
Five Stars Out of Five.
