Review: Changeless (#2) by Gail Carriger
Summary from Goodreads:
Alexia Tarabotti, the Lady Woolsey, awakens in the wee hours of the mid-afternoon to find her husband, who should be decently asleep like any normal werewolf, yelling at the top of his lungs. Then he disappears - leaving her to deal with a regiment of supernatural soldiers encamped on her doorstep, a plethora of exorcised ghosts, and an angry Queen Victoria.
But Alexia is armed with her trusty parasol, the latest fashions, and an arsenal of biting civility. Even when her investigations take her to Scotland, the backwater of ugly waistcoats, she is prepared: upending werewolf pack dynamics as only the soulless can.
She might even find time to track down her wayward husband, if she feels like it
It took me a while to finally get into this steampunk - supernatural series and I'm savoring all of the books very slowly. I'm not a huge fan of steampunk, however, this series is converting me into a fan. :)
Alexia is now one my favorite main characters from an adult paranormal series, and I cannot wait to see what happens next with her next. I like the other characters are well, but she is my all time favorite. And I enjoyed the romance between Alexia and Lord Woolsey, I doubt she would have found a better match.
I hate cliffhangers! And now I have to wait until I get my hands on the third book in the series.
I recommend checking out this series if you enjoy sassy characters and strange supernatural plots.
Four Stars Out of Five.
