Review: Crossing the Line by Katie McGarry (Pushing the Limits #1.1 Novella)

Summary from Goodreads:

Lila McCormick, Echo's best friend from Pushing the Limits, first met Lincoln Turner when tragedy struck both their lives. But she never expected their surprise encounter would lead to two years of exchanging letters—or that she’d fall for the boy she’s only seen once. Their relationship is a secret, but Lila feels closer to Lincoln than anyone else. Until she finds out that he lied to her about the one thing she depended on him for the most.

Hurting Lila is the last thing Lincoln wanted. For two years, her letters have been the only thing getting him through the day. Admitting his feelings would cross a line he’s never dared breach before. But Lincoln will do whatever it takes to fix his mistakes, earn Lila’s forgiveness—and finally win a chance to be with the girl he loves.

My Review:

I've read all of Katie McGarry's books ever since I first picked up Pushing the Limits, and I just love her writing style. So picking up this 67 page novella that goes along with her first novel was easy, and now I remember how much I enjoy her novels.

I thought I would be totally lost because it has been a few years since I read Pushing the Limits, put it was so easy to get back into the little world that McGarry has created over the last three books. And now I cannot wait until Take Me On comes out! :D

The chapters of the novella start out with the letters that Lila and Lincoln have been sending to each other for the last two years and I found that really fun to read. And the slice of their story we got was really good, and also Echo's part was awesome.

I recommend this little novella to fans of Pushing the Limits who are dying while waiting for the next book! :D

My Rating:

Five Stars out of Five
